🏦 IBPS RRB Preparation Tips   

📌 1. Know the Exam Structure

IBPS RRB has multiple posts (PO, Clerk, Officer Scale-II/III). For Clerk & PO (Scale I):

• Prelims: Reasoning + Quantitative Aptitude (2 sections, 45 mins).

• Mains: Reasoning, Quant, English/Hindi, GA, Computer Knowledge.

• Interview (for PO/Officers only).

📚 2. Subject-Wise Preparation

🔹 Reasoning

• Key topics: Puzzles, Seating Arrangement (linear & circular), Coding-Decoding, Syllogism, Inequality, Blood Relations.

• Practice 2–3 sets of puzzles daily.

• Learn shortcut approaches & keep track of solving time.

🔹 Quantitative Aptitude

• Important: Simplification/Approximation, Number Series, Quadratic Equations, Data Interpretation (tables, bar, pie), Arithmetic (SI/CI, Profit-Loss, Time-Work, Speed-Distance, Mixtures).

• Build calculation speed: tables up to 25, squares up to 30, cubes up to 20.

• Daily practice: 10 DI questions + 15 arithmetic questions.

🔹 English / Hindi Language

• If English: Reading Comprehension, Error Detection, Para Jumbles, Cloze Test, Fillers.

• If Hindi: व्याकरण, गद्यांश, वाक्य सुधार, रिक्त स्थान पूर्ति।

• Practice 1 RC passage daily.

🔹 General Awareness (for Mains)

• Focus on Banking Awareness, financial terms, RBI updates, government schemes (esp. rural/agriculture related).

• Revise last 6 months current affairs: sports, awards, appointments, economy, static GK.

🔹 Computer Awareness

• Basics of MS Office, Internet, Networking, DBMS, Operating Systems, Shortcuts.

• Previous year papers help a lot—questions are basic.

🕐 3. Time Management & Strategy

• Prelims = speed game. Attempt easier questions first (simplification, inequalities, syllogisms).

• Mains = accuracy + knowledge. Balance between GA + Reasoning + Quant.

• Take sectional & full-length mocks 2–3 times a week.

🧠 4. Smart Study Routine

• Daily:

  • 1 Mock Test (analyze mistakes).

  • 1 RC passage (Eng/Hindi).

  • 2 DI sets + 10 Arithmetic Qs.

  • 1–2 Puzzles.

  • 15–20 Current Affairs questions.

• Weekly:

  • Revise notes of GA & Computer.

  • Attempt a full-length Mains mock.

💡 5. General Tips

• Practice previous year papers → IBPS repeats question patterns.

• Focus on speed + accuracy (guessing lowers score due to negative marking).

• For GA → revise through monthly PDFs/quiz apps.

• Keep rural banking schemes in mind: PMJDY, PM-Kisan, NABARD schemes, Priority Sector Lending norms.
