1. BJP's five-day program on the birth anniversary of Pt Deendayal Upadhyay:
The whole country is celebrating the birth centenary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, the progenitor of Integrated Humanism. Pandit Upadhyay was born on September 25, 1916 in Nagla Chandrabhan of Mathura district. He was one of the most prominent leaders of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. On his birthday, a five-day fair has been organized at Deendayal Dham in Nagla Chandrabhan, Mathura, his birthplace. Apart from this, BJP has organized programs on the birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyay in whole Braj.
There will be several programs in the five-day fair organized at Nagla Chandrabhan, the ancestral village of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Mathura. On the second day, the Agricultural and Rural Development Exhibition will be organized on 26th September, which will be inaugurated by Radha Mohan Singh, Union Agriculture Minister.

2. Delhi gets new campus of Indian Aviation Academy:

Union aviation minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju on Thursday inaugurated the new campus of Indian Aviation Academy (IAA) in New Delhi. The IAA will augment its training and hostel capabilities to more than double.
IAA was constituted under the aegis of NIAMAR (National Institute of Aviation Management and research Society) in July 2010 as a joint training academy of Airports Authority of India, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security and Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

3. MS Dhoni nominated for Padma Bhushan Award by BCCI:

MS Dhoni has been nominated for the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday. With the nomination, former India captain Dhoni joins the elite club comprising of Cottari Nayudu, Vinoo Mankand, Sunil Gavaskar, Raja Bhalendra Singh, Dinkar Balwant Deodhar, Kapil Dev, Chandu Borde and Rahul Dravid.
Dhoni’s credentials are impeccable and as the only Indian captain with two World titles (2011 50-over World Cup and 2007 World T20), the BCCI did not have to ponder over likely names. “He is one of our greatest ODI cricketer with nearly 10,000 runs.

4. China bans use of anti-Islam words on social media:

"Islamophobic" terms used by Chinese internet users to stigmatise Muslims have been blocked by authorities to prevent bias against Islam. China has over 21 million Muslims mostly the Uyghurs in Xinjiang and Hui community in Ningxia province, according to unofficial accounts.
"The Islamophobic terms invented by Chinese Internet users to stigmatise Muslims have been blocked by authorities on Chinese social media despite criticism from the netizens that such a ban overtly favourable to Muslim minorities," state-run Global Times reported.

5. Country’s first electric bus service launched:

In a boost for green transport in Himachal Pradesh, Transport Minister G S Bali Thursday flagged off the country’s first electric bus service for Rohtang Pass, a tourist destination near Manali. Bali termed it a pioneering initiative to check vehicular pollution at Rohtang Pass in the wake of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) orders to restrict the number of diesel and petrol operated tourist vehicles in the ecologically fragile area.
